Memorial Weekend in Mitchell and Big Friend Little Friend are hosting Cruise 4 Kids!

Drive your favorite car, truck, or motorcycle to the Shopko parking lot by 2 PM on August 22 to join in on the group cruise.

 

The group will depart from the Shopko parking lot, drive around Lake Mitchell, and then take a scenic route around Mitchell. The full route is listed below. All street-legal vehicles welcome. Freewill donations accepted to support BFLF youth mentoring.

Cruise Directions

  1. From the Shopko parking lot, turn right onto Main St.

  2. Turn left onto W. 23rd

  3. Turn right onto Indian Village Road

  4. Turn right onto Ohlman

  5. Turn right onto S. Harmon

  6. Turn right onto W. Harmon

  7. Turn right onto 407th Ave./N. Navin Road

  8. Turn right onto N. Harmon

  9. Continue East (across Hwy 37) on E. 38th Ave/251st Ave.

  10. Turn right onto 410th Ave

  11. Turn left onto Shanard Rd

  12. At the dead end, turn right onto 413th Ave. to stop sign

  13. Turn right onto SD Hwy 38

  14. Turn right onto E. 1st Ave.

  15. Turn right onto N. Foster

  16. Turn left onto 7th Ave.

  17. Turn right onto Main St.

  18. Turn left onto W. 9th to Minnesota St.

  19. Turn left onto Minnesota St.

  20. Turn right onto 8th St.

  21. Drive through the Mitchell Middle School parking lot

  22. Exit the Mitchell Middle School parking lot and continue west on 8th Ave.

  23. Turn left onto the Hwy 37 bypass

  24. Turn left into the Vasek ‘Can-Do’ Villa parking lot

  25. Exit the parking lot. Head south to Havens.

  26. Turn left onto Havens

  27. Turn left onto Sanborn

  28. Turn right onto 1st Ave.

  29. Turn left onto Main St.

  30. Meet back at the Shopko parking lot
